the g stands for ghost (as in, never seen in queens), along with the n train (the never), the w (the whenever), and the r (the rarely).

actually, back when they did the commuter ratings, i still remember the post saying that the w stands for 'worst.' that was when i bought newspapers though... that said, i love the v, and the v train.
