This is a rotating boat lift in Scotland that connects two different canals that are 24 meters apart, it's an awesome feat of engineering. The design of the central axle is based on the shape of the double-headed axe from Celtic tradition.

each lift uses less the power of an electric light bulb on for an hour. it is all to do with the physics involved it works as a large counter balance
